Elijah, a Quezon City resident, is a 6-year-old 1st-grader in Cornerstone Academy whose hobbies include basketball and the arts. He especially appreciates colorful abstract art, as evidenced by his choice of Pablo Picasso as his favorite artist. He took up visual arts lessons in the school’s Arts Enrichment Extension Program so that he can learn more about art. He believes that he can glorify God by making art about Him.

Elisha is a 10-year-old 5th-grader in Cornerstone Academy who lives with her family in Quezon City. She enjoys building things with her LEGO blocks during her free time. She loves to paint, and she usually does this using acrylic as her medium, but she would like to learn how to paint using watercolor as well. Her favorite artist is the great Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci, because she thinks that his paintings are very realistic and interesting to look at. Elisha enrolled in visual arts lessons last school year and this school year so that she can learn new techniques and textures in art, and she believes that she can glorify God by making artworks that show how amazing and powerful He is and how he made us to be his children.

Jillian, a 4th-grade student of Cornerstone Academy, is 10 years old and lives with her family in Quezon City. Her hobbies are drawing, sketching, and painting, which is why she enrolled in visual arts lessons offered by the school’s extracurricular program. She desires to develop her artistic skills and become a better artist. Her favorite artist is Lydia Velasco because her art is about women; she thinks that Velasco paints a woman’s skin yellow in order to portray joy. Jillian believes that she can glorify God by doing her best each time she creates artwork.
